Teaching
I am a musician and educator with over 16 years of musical experience and more than 10 years of experience teaching private lessons. With a background in woodwind performance and pedagogy, I hold a double master's degree from Ohio University. My teaching experience includes work with the Institute of Arts in Bogotá, the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, and Athens Community Music School. I currently serve as a Woodwind Instructor with MYCincinnati.
Teaching philosophy
I strongly believe that every student deserves to develop a positive and lasting relationship with music and their instrument, regardless of their skill level or personal goals. My teaching focuses not only on learning to play, but also on developing effective practice habits, concentration, and the tools needed to learn independently. My goal is to empower students to become confident, self-sufficient musicians who can continue learning and growing beyond their lessons with me.
Instruments and students
I teach clarinet, saxophone, and flute to students with different levels of experience and musical goals, from beginners to advanced musicians.
